A good friend of us had recently recommended Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary as having the highest concentration of deers she had seen around. Unfortunately, when we went there was the Maple Sugaring Festival, and the place was very crowded with humans, but we didn't get to see any wildlife.
The main trail, Billing Loop Trail was closed due to the organized tours for the festival, so we had to look around the other side of the park for a hike. We started hiking through the Kettle Trail, linked it with the Hobbs Hill Loop where we found really cool looking forests, and continued onto the Vernal Pool Loop, which eventually brought us back to the Nature Center. In total, we spent 2 hours and 30 minutes walking around these trails.
You can download a trail map, or you can pick one up at the Nature Center, as you arrive. The day-use fee is $4 per person.
