Pleasant morning hike relatively close to Boston, in North Andover, about 40min North by car. Weir Hill Reservation encompasses 194 acres of forests and wetlands. We took the Edgewood Farm Trail to reach the shores of Lake Cochichewick, continued onto Alewife Trail, and ended climbing the twin peaks of Weir Hill. The views from the top extend all the way to Wachusett Mountain, and with good visibility to Mount Monadnock. Altogether, we hiked for about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
You can download a trail map of the reservation, also available at the park entrance.
